In the manufacturing of our .224 69 Gr. RMR JHP 3GH bullets, we’ve had to make some tooling changes, adjust the machinery, change materials and improve the tooling. These factors all contribute to making really great bullets that are just outside of our normal tolerance. That’s why we are selling them as seconds. This is your chance to get some fantastic bullets at an incredible price!  Reasons for these being seconds could be OAL variances, meplat inconsistencies, blemishes, etc.

Why 3GH?  It stands for 3-gun/hunting. Because they are match-grade bullets suitable for competition, like 3-gun matches, AND the bullet jacket is designed to be thicker toward the base. This design feature gives these bullets some controlled expansion characteristics for hunting smaller thin-skinned game. They are NOT bonded, so the jacket and core typically separate in flesh (causing a devastating wound channel), but the penetration does exceed what can be expected from “normal” match grade bullets. Although we can’t recommend them for certain types of game, they have been used successfully to take hogs and small deer. Note that some states do not allow shooting any type of big game with cartridges under 6mm/.243.
