Recently purchased some of the RMR 124 gr projectiles and since my press was already set up for the Berry’s 124 gr HBTPRN projectiles, I used that as my starting point. Used 5.2 gr CFE Pistol with OAL of 1.15”.
From Staccato P with 4.4” barrel, average velocity (10 samples) was 1133 fps with std dev of 12.5 with the Berry’s projectiles.
From Staccato P with 4.4” barrel, average velocity (10 samples) was 1127 fps with std dev of 13.6 with the RMR projectiles.
At 10 yards, the grouping of the RMR projectiles was slightly better (didn’t measure) but both were more than adequate for target shooting.
Also have some data through my CZ Scorpion with 7.72” barrel. Average velocity (10 samples) was 1221 fps with std dev of 15.2.
Given that the RMR FMJ are about the same cost as the Berry’s, I intend to keep using the RMR projectiles. So far have shot about 200 with this recipe, no loading or ejection problems with any of the firearms I have used them in.
