Thought I would add this although you did not mention 147 gr. projectiles. I recently purchased 147 gr RMR RN projectiles for use in subsonic loads. Since I already had CFE Pistol powder in my powder measure, decided to try making subsonics with this powder first. Used 4.1 gr CFE Pistol powder with 1.15” OAL. Shot them through my suppressed CZ Scorpion (7.72” barrel) with an average velocity (11 samples) of 985 fps and a std dev of 14. The maximum velocity for any of these was 1008 fps which was still subsonic. No problems with cycling the gun or ejecting. Based on these results, I am going to make more of these and see if they continue to work well.
Just curious, what other powders have you tried for 9mm? I have used HP-38 successfully with 115 gr projectiles (Berry’s) but switched over to CFE Pistol when I started loading 124 gr (it was more available then).
