Are there any plans in the works for heavy 0.355 to 0.357 bullets for loading for 350 legend? I would love to see some 165 to 180 grain truncated cone bullets. The caliber has really caught on and I am sure you would get lots of takers in states with straight wall cartridge laws. How hard would it be to scale up something like your 147 gr 9 mm bullets to be a bit longer and heavier?
Speaking of the 147 grainers, would they hold up to 350 legend velocities? The problem right now with reloading for 350 legend is there aren\’t very many cheap plinker bullets to be found yet. You can get some good hunting bullets but it would be cost prohibitive to buy those in bulk to shoot at the range. Winchester makes some \”range bullets\” but they are as expensive as the hunting bullets and so not really a viable option. Unless you caste your own, there aren\’t vey many other options for range ammo.
I try to get as much of my reloading components as possible from RMR. They\’ve always sold quality products for good prices. I just bought an AR in 350 legend so I\’m on the hunt for reloading components. It seems like I am not the only one either because I am having trouble finding things like starline brass and cheap FMJ or even caste lead bullets. I did buy some of the primed Winchester cases because that is all I could find. I have read a lot of anecdotes about problems with 350 legend Winchester brass so I have my fingers crossed.
