My drop test in my second Gen Beretta 92FS was 1.50\” COL. Be mindful that barrel has deep grooves. Many of my others are about 1.10\” COL.

I\’ve loaded mine to an an OAL of to 1.095 to 1.10, using mixed brass. All drop in and seat flush in my EGW chamber checker block. They cycle through my Canik TP9 V2, Ruger PCC, CZ-85B, and my 9mm AR build.

Find a brand of ammo that never fails then use that length. A lot of people do that including me with no issues. Reloading manuals didn\’t use your gun when working up loads.

Find the data for a similar size, weight, profile bullet in your manual(s) and start with the book OAL. Plunk test and adjust if necessary… I have 4 9mm pistols one, has a shorter chamber so I reload to fit that gun, Masada9mm, and it works in all…

With this bullet, I\’m using 1.120\” for my Glock 26, Glock 19 (both Gen 4) and Sig 226 Navy. Max COL is 1.150\”. However at this length the guns do not cycle as well.
