Just rec\’d an order of the Idaho 130 Matchwinner zinc bullets and my initial testing shows outstanding 50 yard accuracy. I\’m firing a S&W 986 9mm revolver fitted with a 6\” Walther .355 barrel. Have been using lead Hi-Tek bullets exclusively, but these 130 silver bullets load easier without any case distortion like you see with the Hi-Tek coated bullets. Since it is a revolver…have loaded with a slight roll crimp and have more leeway with OAL. Will need to work up a final load (NY weather permitting) but I\’m already getting sub 2\” groups at 50 yards with a red dot double action.
I\’ll be switching to these zinc bullets and while I don\’t see any signs of zinc (leading) in the barrel now – was wondering the recommended bore cleaner to use with zinc based bullets.
