I solved this by hitting the back of the slide to put the pistol into battery an fired the round.
The slide then functioned and the brass ejected.Would love to figure out what was going on though…
I should run some more rounds through with 5.5g of silhouette to see if this can be reproduced.
What I am more likely to do it to go to the 6g that I was using for jacked bullets and see how that works.
Having ammo stuck in my gun scares me from a tactical standpoint.Any thoughts still much appreciated.
I am not that experienced of a re-loader and the primary mistake I was making was not in recognizing the signs of an under powered load.
I was blaming OAL when it was the 5gn charge of Silouette that caused failure to feed and failure to eject because the slide was not cycling all of the way back. —The guys at RMR bullets were very helpful once I reached out to them for help.I looked at the RamShot data and worked up to a a 6gn — 9mm +P load with an OAL of 1.120\”.
I was getting 1150fps from the 6gn charge in the G17.
With the G26 I only get 1050 fps, and did not feel comfortable using a larger charge.I hope that this helps.
Have changed the load for 124g MPR hollow points for my G26 and G17:
OAL of 1.120\”
6.0g of Ramshot Silouette
Which Ramshot lists as a +P loadI am getting 1150 FPS with this load out of the G17
and 1050 FPS out of the G26
I am hesitant to put in enough powder to get 1100 FPS out of the G26.I finally found this part of the forum was amazed at the data, that I was looking for and needed.

I have a LOT to learn and with this info I think I can avoid most of the big pitfalls.

I am shooting this ammo in a gen 4 – G26 (baby Glock) and a gen 4 – G17 (full size)
OAL so far is 1.120\” and using 5.6g of Ramshot Silouette
I will crony this as soon as it stops raining. I am looking for 1100 FPS out of the G26 if possible.Is there any reason to go shorter with the OAL as long as these are the only 2 guns that I will be shooting this ammo out of?

I went with an OAL of 1.120\” and 5.5 gn of silhouette.
Have not done extensive testing but this looks like it is going to work
but not against tweaking it a bit to see what happens.You would have to ask RMR about the profile.
I want some of the newer bullets myself.UPDATE:
Jacob Wilcox called and solved the problem.
I did not realize how little I knew……
He suggested a few causes:
Limp wristing the gun.
A stiff slide spring
A funky magazine
Too light of a load.He made me aware of the Ramshot load data at:
https://ramshot.com/load-data/I set the OAL to the same as a working hollow point . i.e. the Winchester Ranger cartridge.
with an OAL of 1.120\”I upped the load to 5.5 gn of silhouette. ( I think about 6gn is max and a +P load).
Anyhow I was elated to cycle 10 rounds through the G26 with zero issues!!!

You now have a customer for life.As expected none of the 1.070\” cartridges feed.
It looks to me that it is impossible to use this bullet to make ammo for a 9mm Glock!
Would have been really helpful to have ha a heads up before I got stuck with 6 thousand of them.
Help if you have any ideas, I am out of them.Again not allowed to edit the above post making things messy IMHO……

This is going to make things messy….I just wanted to add that I am using 5gn of silhouette.
I also wanted to add a photo of the failure to feed at an OAL of 1.050\” but it doesn\’t look like I can do that either.
