I’m not really a .380 guy but I inherited a few guns in this cartridge last year. I’ve discovered that factory ammo for this little cartridge is fairly expensive for what it is. I’m not talking about fancy defensive rounds, just simple round ball ammo. So I decided to look into loading my own. I’ve been able to succeed in this by purchasing RMR pull-down materials. Which consist of 95 gr. round ball bullets and primed pull down aluminum CCI cases. I’ve had real good results. I give the primed cases a quick resize to ensure good bullet tension. You buy the cases, you are getting the primers with them which today are worth at least a nickel apiece. Oh, and I don’t mind that the cases are one time use. Finding fired .380’s once they’ve flown several yards away isn’t always the easiest.
