ParticipantTrying to find a load to get me to around the 1150 fps mark.
4.75 threaded Glock 17 KKM barrel
Mixed brass
CCI 500
COAL 1.075W244 4.1 grains av 1085fps es 30 sd 14
CFE Pistol 5.1 grains av 1146fps es 30 sd 11AA #7 7.5 grains av 1104fps es 21 sd 11
None of these loads showed pressure signs and could probably worked higher with caution.

ParticipantThose loads you have worked up seem fine, what do you think you will gain by increasing the fps by 04-65 fps? Are trying to meet a certain power factor for league shooting?

ParticipantI was just working up some loads to try to get to the 1150 fps mark that is stated they need for reliable expansion.
I was pretty happy with all of the 3 loads and they were all accurate but I decided to pursue the CFE Pistol load and increase that load by 2 tenths. I haven’t had a chance to chrono them yet though

ParticipantThat W244 load is way under max. I usually load 4.5grs, and it is not max. I do run a longer OAL than you are however.
That CFE Pistol load is “book max” per Hodgdon, at 33,000psi; however, 9mm max is typically 34,000 to 36,000 psi, and +P is 38,000, so there is room there. I plan on testing up to 5.4grs for this bullet. Again, at longer OAL od about 1.130”.
