ParticipantInteresting. I have a Dillon 650 and it has an over/under powder charge alarm. It can typically be off by .1 or .2gr but it’s pretty close. That being said, I also have done this no powder thing. Obviously, I ignored the alarm. I can fix that though. When using progressive I always watch as the turret turns. When I work up new loads, it’s always on a single stage hand measured. I can say OAL gets me sometimes with these new fangled bullets wanting to “plunk test” in every barrel. What? If SAAMI says 9mm is 1.169 shouldn’t any barrel take that OAL? BTW, SAAMI says min OAL is 1.095 but Hornady for XTP says 1.060. Load manuals don’t always make sense.
