ParticipantSo im curious, if i load these to 2600fps from a 350L, will they disintegrate on a deer @ 2000fps+?

ParticipantUsually hollow point bullets made for handgun velocities over-expand when pushed faster. My guess is that at a minimum you would get jacket/core separation which would decrease penetration. In addition the petals would probably be shed by the core further reducing penetration and the size of the crush cavity. The best way to find out would be to fire some into water jugs. That would give you a worst case scenario.

ParticipantI would like to know what the maximum velocities are with the 9mm/380/357 Sig .355 projectiles that could potentially be reloaded for 350 Legend. I am looking for a 147gr 9mm projectile that will not separate its jacket from it’s core at 2400 FPS

ParticipantSide note; sierra makes the sig v crown. They said v crown is made to expand and stop inside a human at pistol velocity. They recommenced the 155gr pro hunter bullet. They said it was accuracy tested to 200yds and great on deer. Now, i did say i wanted something that acts like a 77 tmk in a deer as those work good and he said thats what i would want. Maybe thats helpful to your search.
