ParticipantPer Spclment I do the exact same thing with the 147 Smiley bullets. I use the Lee Modern Loading data for 146 gr 38 Spcl just as he stated above. In the same book under 9mm there is load data for 147 gr bullets I am going to try next. I don’t see why there would be any difference except pressure depending on bullet depth. As long as I’m within specs I feel it should work fine. Unless someone else knows something I don’t 🙂

ParticipantI’m fairly new to reloading about 6 months in with mostly hand gun & 12ga Trap shooting. 380, 38 Spcl, 9mm, 40 S&W, 12ga Winchester AA shotgun. I bought 1k 380 95 gr RMR bullets and thought I’ll try some of these in 9mm & 9mm load data using Lee Modern Reloading data book. I kept getting failure to eject jams in almost every clip. Not sure why, never tried it again. I’d think the Longshot powder would give plenty of power for ejecting and feeding ?

ParticipantI tell ya…. If you’ve ever tried reloading you’re eventually going to load a bullet or shotshell without powder. I’ve done both. I’m concerned about rapid fire and never do that with reloads, ever. I’m moving up to a Lee Turret press soon and will make sure I have some kind of LED light to see inside the case before seating a bullet. Right now I single stage my reloading and I always expand the case and drop a charge onto the 50 bullet flat rack and view the entire rack to make sure all loads look about the same in each one. I caught an empty that way once and a double load in a 38 Spcl one time too ! Going to find a way to verify when I get the Turret set up
