I don’t know if I qualify as a high volume shooter and reloader I shoot about 15,000 to 20,000 rounds of my reloaded ammo per year. One thing I’ve noticed recently since changing to RMR’s zinc jacketed bullets is more clean up is required after shooting most of my 9mm pistols. And my only 9mm revolver a Ruger LCR . hates them after only 30 rounds of the same loads I shoot in my pistols the bore of the LCP is coated with Zink. My only 9mm pistol that shows any zink build up in the barrel is one of my Sig P365’s that has a Parker Mountain Machine barrel and compensator.
I have pulled several bullets from my loaded ammo to see if my loading process is undersizing the zinc jacketed bullets but I can’t see much reduction in their diameter. The bullets measure .3555″ before loading and after being pulled .3552″ that .0003″ can’t make a difference,
