I got 1145fps out of a fs92 with a 4.9in barrel and 1120 out of my Glock 17.
I used 6.2gr of True Blu with CCI 500.
I would suggest try 5.8gr of Alliant BE-86 with CCI 500prim SD 14 for the 1911 and SD 18 for the g17.
This got me 1219fps out of my gov mod 1911 and 1170fps out of my Glock 17.
I wasn’t happy with TRUE BLU because you get a compressed load so you have to be careful when seating the bullet
so as not to deform the bullet. I also find the BE-86 is cleaner burning and has a flash suppressant.
PS I used Winchester brass mostly and some Rem brass. I did not find any real deference.
Here are some loads to try. These all use 125 gr bullets.
6.5gr POWER PISTOL CCI 500prim —–1233fps SD12
7.0gr POWER PISTOL CCI 500prim ——1308fps SD22
9.5gr Accurate #7 CCI 500prim ———-1379fps SD25
10gr Accurate #7 CCI 500prime ———-1422fps SD5
Hollow points COL 1.200in FMC round nose 1.250in.
The gun used was a Colt 1911 competition custom gov mod.
Winchester primers will yield approx. 25 to 30fps lower velocity.
Chronograph used is a Oehler 350P.
PLEASE BE CAREFULL bullets were RMR
