Description

RMR has been making some of the best bullets money can buy for several years now.  We’ve always focused on the best possible products at reasonable prices for competition and hunting as our best way to enter a market.   That’s what these are.  These are the best light weight slug on the market but at a price that makes sense for practice, competition, and hunting.  SLAP stands for “SLug And Pellet.” I’ve named them the SLAP because when they hit an animal there is an audible pop or slap.  The good thing about this .22 cal slug is that it works in pellet barrels as well as slug barrels.  I personally shot a group of 5/8″ at 100 yards with these using my FX impact.  They are capable of some amazing accuracy.  The hollow point cavity is massive and is responsible for an insane amount of expansion. These will shoot well from barrels with a 1:18″-1:24″ twists.  BC is .093.

With limited use out of both a pump and CO2 air rifles these bullets have worked great. The accuracy is very good and I will purchase them again. The company delivers quality products including the 22 cal air rifle bullets.

I bought these on a whim since most of the high end options available on Amazon were polymer tipped and seemed just about as expensive as these. I have been nothing but surprised by the performance of these pellets. I have a Stoeger PCP and have never taken it beyond 25yds. Well, I was frustrated with a squirrel the other day and it had run out to about 50yds (measured it later). I figured since I already had one chambered to take a shot and get back to other things. I aimed an inch or so high and it hit center mass up in a tree – fell and was done. The closer range shots I have taken at targets were also impressive. At 25yds, I set up those thick bean cans to shoot thru the ends now. It blows thru those and will embed ~1/4″ in a 2×4 I have placed behind it. NONE of the other projectiles I have used exhibit this powerful performance out of the same rifle.

These are some great slugs, The only Con on these is that there is a bit of lead flakes that like to stick to the barrel causing buildup in the barrel. With some light rolling in a microfiber towel removes the flaking. This is way better than buying 100 count packs of Fx Hybrids. FYI these are identical to the Fx Hybrids.

The stars lined up one day and my Maverick Compact .22 decided to shoot these. Picking off a cork at 100 yards and a few ground squirrels in the process. I do wash them in my ultrasonic cleaner, cotton swab the flashing from the hollow point, a bit tedious but …. and roll them in a microfibre towel with beeswax furniture polish. Also my Maverick .25 VP does very well with the RMR slugs.

These are very accurate out of my AAA Evol, but they are FILTHY. They will turn your fingers black just by loading them from all the flaking and residue. They need to be cleaned before seeing your best groups and also so they dont foul up your barrel quickly. Thats the only reason for 4 stars, otherwise they’re well made and a decent price.
