Description

These are the Premium Federal HST bullets, pulled from loaded ammo, but you can probably find samples of every bullet weight in 40 caliber that Federal makes! The weights are all over, from 155 to 180 grains, and probably some 135’s in there as well. We have no idea what your ratio of bullet weights will be as it varies as we work through the barrel. If you don’t mind sorting bullets, this is a great way to get premium bullets at a great price!

PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE ORDERING These are pulled bullets and most of them have some slight pull marks. The pull marks should not affect accuracy or performance. These are a very nice Hollow Point bullet for a very good price. These are pulled bullets and like all pulled bullets, some sorting is likely required. There may be some 180, or 155 grain bullets mixed in with these, but they are mostly 165’s.

*Pulled bullets may have been hand sorted. This means your order may include some random bullets of another style or caliber. It is recommended that you examine your bullets before loading them.

I ordered 2000. They ended up shipping 2295 total. I ended up with 2.5% of 135s, 38.2% 155s, 31.2% of 165s, and 28.1% of 180s. About 6% of the whole had damage to the top of the hollow points. Rmr did a great job about giving extras to make up for it though. All in all I’m very pleased. If there where half stars I would have said 4.5 out of 5. Would recommend to anyone looking to get some quality bullets who is willing to sort. Thanks rmr!

I’m getting 135,155,165,180 and everywhere between. Many of the bullets do not have enough lead in them causing weight variances all over the place. The jackets are formed differently between the weight classes making it easy to tell them apart but the missing lead is going to make it difficult to use them for even plinking. I was ok with mixed weight types, but many of these are defective as well. I only ordered 500, so not a huge loss

After sorting through these, I received a small amount of the larger weight bullets described, but after discussing my concerns with RMR they did everything they could to make the purchase right. I was extremely pleased in the long run and will continue making many purchases from RMR in the very near future. THANK YOU RMR CREW!!!!

    1/3 180 1/3 165 and 1/3 155 with some 135-140 good price can’t complain

Received 253 bullets with the following count: 165gr X 153, 155gr X 86, 162gr X 30, 12 were damaged or otherwise defective (lead did not fill the copper cavity) and two 165 grain Hydrashok post JHP’s. No 180Gr but that’s OK, I have plenty of experience with Hydrashok’s with Post. Sure wish they had more of those. I’ll be loading up both 165 and 155’s with high energy BE86 and see what they can do. I won’t be doing any jel tests, that information is abundant on the web but I have my neighbor’s chrono and will have some fun evaluating these loads as well as others. The test gun will be the SA XD Mod 2 Subcompact 40 and the TriStar C100 (clone of the CZ75).

I am amazed at how much variance there is between the weight of these (HS) bullets. Definitely not RMR’s fault. Just glad I didn’t end up with some of these as factory loads. At least this way I have the option to reject the junk. Only got about 50 165 grain bullets in the lot but I guess that’s the “luck of the draw”. Got lots of 180 gr. so that makes it a good deal.

I ordered 500 and ended up with 532. The breakdown in weight was…135 x 16. 155 x 90. 165 x 167. 180 x 259. This is in line with what they advertise. There are “pull” marks but nothing too bad. Some of the weights were not spot on but that’s fine since I am using these for plinking. Overall I am quite satisfied and will be ordering more in the future.
